Converging lens image formed

As light enters the lens, it becomes focused to a specific focal point in front of the center of the lens. Surprisingly, when the object is located at the focal point, there is no location in space at which an observer can sight from which all the refracted rays appear to be coming. The farther the object is from the convex lens, the image farther away from the convex lens. Most camera lenses consist of a converging lens followed by an diverging lens followed by a second converging lens.

The location of the final image formed by the action of a converging lens and a diverging lens is found by ray tracing and by calculation using the equation. Perhaps you noticed that there is a definite relationship between the image characteristics and the location where an object placed in front of a double convex lens.
